Entries will be assessed and scored according to the following criteria. Only the written submission will be considered so entrants are encouraged to demonstrate:
- Measurable achievements
- Expected benefits (including cost-effectiveness/value for money)
- Sustainability and transferability
- Leadership and team-working
- Making a difference to patient/client care.
At least one member of your project must be an AHP or health scientist, see here for qualifying roles.
Your entry submission should address each of the four questions on the online form. Your responses should be text only and not exceed the stated word limit. Shortlisting judges will score you entry on the basis of evidence provided in each section alone (appendices will not be considered). Failure to address a question will result will impact your score at the shortlisting stage of the competition.
Rules for entry
- Your project must only be entered into one category
- Only two people may be named on the awards application
- It is these people alone that will be invited to attend the judging day in the event of shortlisting
- All entries must be authorised by your manager
- There will be no feedback on entries that are not shortlisted
- The judges’ decision is final.
Tips for making the finals
- Read through all our award categories and make sure you enter your project in the most suitable category
- Complete all questions on the entry form, and keep the category you have entered in mind as you write
- Keep to our word count limits
- Thoroughly check your entry form before submission, and ask a colleague to take a look too
- Submit your entry well in advance of the deadline Friday 6 November 2009)
- And remember you can enter as many projects into the competition as you like.
