GateHouse has been providing training to the NHS and the not-for-profit sector for over 20 years and delivers around 200 in-house programmes a year throughout the UK. GateHouse has a long-standing reputation in its markets, having been set up by an NHS human resources director in 1988.
We create bespoke training programmes across a wide range of subject areas and our programmes can incorporate a number of variables including personal development planning, coaching and mentoring and facilitation. We can design and deliver a range of interventions from short one-day skills-based training and 90 minute `nuggets’ to bespoke modular management and leadership programmes and 1:1 coaching support.
We have a wide faculty of course leaders who are all experts in their field and demonstrate a wealth of practical experience and exemplary presentation skills. All of our course leaders have experience working with NHS organisations and understand the key issues for NHS staff.
We provide a comprehensive set of course materials which are delivered to the venue a few days in advance. The GateHouse Training Box contains everything that is needed on the day including course folders, tent cards, name badges, evaluation forms, certificates of attendance, pens and pads. Our clients usually provide the venue, the refreshments and equipment but we can also source excellent, cost-effective venues if required.
Our aims
Our aim is to create programmes that meet the specific needs and expectations of our clients – both the organisation and the people. We do this by listening carefully to our clients and by developing open working relationships, responding quickly to their needs.
We are committed to providing a high-quality, cost-effective service that creates a supportive learning environment for our clients. We aim to make a difference - to help people and organisations think and do things differently, to help them to meet their goals and targets and to succeed.
Our learning approach
Our learning approach is centred upon engaging participants interactively; using a variety of learning styles such as activities, skills practice, consultancy groups, video/DVD, syndicate work, case studies, team ’games’, discussions, feedback and presentations. We can incorporate personality profiling, coaching, personal development plans and live projects.
