This three-day PRINCE2® accredited workshop introduces participants to the PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) approach to project management and allows
them the opportunity to achieve the recognised PRINCE2® Foundation qualification.
The workshop will review the eight processes and eight components of PRINCE2® together with the three PRINCE2® techniques including product based planning.
The one-hour PRINCE2® Foundation exam will take place at the end of the third day.
The workshop will use a mix of lecture, group work and self study to enhance
individual’s learning.

WORKSHOP STUDY
Attendees will be provided with their own copy of the PRINCE2® manual three weeks
before the start of the workshop. There will be a programme of pre-workshop self study
(approx 12 – 15 hours) using the manual and attendees will be sent a study framework
to assist them. During the workshop delegates will be required to carry out
approximately two hours of evening study.

THE PRINCE2® FOUNDATION EXAM
The Foundation exam comprises of 75 multiple choice questions taken from the detail
of the PRINCE2® method. This one-hour exam is “closed-book” with a pass-mark of 50%.
|
|
|
|
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Individuals who are involved with managing projects and who wish to gain knowledge of the PRINCE2® project management methodology and achieve a recognised PRINCE2® project management qualification (PRINCE2® Foundation).

If required a current manual can be purchased from GateHouse at a cost of £75 (inc. p&p).

Brian Swales
After qualifying in electronics from Manchester University, Brian focused on operational management mainly in the area of sales and marketing. His twenty-five years in industry included five years as the Northern European sales and marketing director for a major US electronics manufacturer and managing a sales budget in excess of $100M.
In 1990 Brian moved into management and training consultancy. During the last nine years Brian has provided support to a wide range of industries whilst maintaining a close relationship within the multi-national electronics market and forging strong links in healthcare.
Within healthcare Brian has supported or managed projects covering management development for 360 senior managers, project management training, change management and a hospital redesign programme.

Martin Bailey
Martin has twenty-two years experience in the light industrial and electronic sector. During this time, he mainly focused on the negotiation process both from a purchasing and sales perspective within the UK and Europe.
Martin has spent time researching, developing and delivering skills-training programmes to a diverse, multi-cultural client base ranging from the healthcare environment to European, US and Japanese state-of-the-art technological corporations.

Ian Bendrey
Academically qualified in electronic engineering, Ian has held positions in quality management, total quality management, project management, process engineering and human resource development.
During his twenty-two years career in industry, Ian has worked in manufacturing, sales and marketing domains with key focus on establishing TQ cultures, managing organisational change and evolving practices through which companies and individuals can derive maximum benefit from their investments in training and development.
With this experience, Ian has focused upon organisational development with companies from across a range of industries including healthcare in both the public and private sectors.
Within healthcare, projects managed by Ian have included customer service redesign programmes, implementation of performance management systems and establishing Total Quality cultures.
